The lengthy antique bar bears an impressive array of brews and liquors on a 20-foot wall to whet the fussiest of whistles, including a bevvy of well… ‘bevvies’ – literally hundreds of craft beers and cocktails, with over 20 craft beers on tap.
There is so much to like about this place. Open daily from 11am until 1am, you can opt to stay a while or linger longer, as Lake Effect caters to both the early and late lunching set, with a Spanish-inspired menu, featuring typical inclusions as well as the less familiar. Word on the street is that you simply MUST try the Mexican Burger, as well as the Churro Funnel Cake, but only those with cast iron bellies dare do so in one sitting.
Whether traveling solo or within a group, Lake Effect offers nightly live entertainment via the laidback sounds of a DJ set, or local musicians Eric Anthony, Nate Robinson or Preston Creed.
The restrooms are a must-see, irrespective of nature’s calling. Ladies can look forward to a sophisticated, feminine wallpapered space, while the lads are treated to more of a suggestive ambiance.
