Meet the Hansen’s. Brad and Brit are Salt Lake City’s cutest new Real Estate couple. They may be cute, but don’t let that fool you. They are a force to reckon with in the world of residential real estate. They help people buy and sell their home. With Brad working in Real Estate for several years, and Brit’s savvy knowledge of networking and advertising (and she is also on her way to getting her own license) they have figured out a recipe for success.
Brad and Brit have one simple philosophy when in their business: Serve people. Find out what people need, and figure out a way to help them. For this Husband and Wife Realtor Team, it’s all about being together and doing what they love.
As any couple that works together, they have some tips for other couples out there who work together.
1. DON’T LET WORK TAKE OVER YOUR HEALTH
Make time to work out and eat healthy. It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of getting our real estate investing business going and being successful that we can sometimes forget to take any time out for ourselves and our health. So, no matter what else is going on with your business, pay attention to your own health and to each other’s health.
2. DIVIDE AND CONQUER
When it comes time to jump into action, it’s almost always best to divide and conquer. By splitting up we were able to do more work and get a great deal.
3. STAY ON THE SAME PAGE
Everyone will disagree with their partner at one point or another. It’s inevitable. Whether it be with money, how you should advertise a home, always talk it out, and in the end we come to an agreement, and we make our move.
4. YOU’RE BOTH THE BOSS – TRUST EACH OTHER
On that note, don’t try to figure out who should be the “boss”. You’re partners, and you’re both the boss. If one of you feels really uncomfortable about a decision, talk through it until you can figure out what to do to make you both happy.
5. REMEMBER, YOU’RE IN IT TOGETHER!
And, of course, remember that you’re working together because you’re in this together! Real estate can be stressful, but it’s a great way to make a living and build a strong relationship, too.
