It’s New Year’s Eve! One of the biggest parties of the year has finally arrived, with people all across the planet, never mind the country, celebrating as we leave 2013 behind and move on to bigger and better things in 2014. Everyone has their own way of marking the occasion: Watching the ball drop in Times Square, buying some expensive VIP packages at bars, hosting house parties with your friends and family or even all of the above! But for those living in Salt Lake City, this town has a celebration all its own to offer.

EVE is the fifth-annual, three-day, downtown-wide event that gives thousands the chance to do up New Year’s right. The festivities kicked off on Sunday, providing family-friendly fun for both kids and adults. Over 2,000 beach balls were blown up to be tossed around, and another 20 inflatable bouncing houses were set up to give kids – or the kids at heart – a chance to enjoy and wear themselves out.

But buying a pass to EVE doesn’t limit you to one place, though. Other benefits include access to Discovery Gateway, The Leonardo, Clark Planetarium, the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and a Jazz game! Tickets are only $15 for adults and just $5 for kids age three to nine!

All in all, the Downtown Salt Lake City Alliance – which puts this shindig together every year – estimates as many as 40,000 people will take part in the festivities, with about 10 percent of those coming in from out of town.

If you’re among that 10 percent and you like what you see, why not make Salt Lake your new home? There are plenty of luxurious, upscale houses in Salt Lake City that we’d be happy to show off for you! If your New Year’s resolution involves buying a great new home, then let a Salt Lake City real estate agent at Muve Real Estate help you achieve that!
